On Tuesday, 23 June 2015 the Treasurer handed down the NSW budget.  Unions NSW has produced a budget overview which outlines the key spending initiatives, budget cuts and key policy areas the NSW Government fail to addressed.

As anticipated the NSW Government has relied heavily on windfall gains from the sale of electricity and increased revenue from stamp duty.  The forward estimates show the NSW Government continues to rely on two key volatile revenue sources, stamp duty and Federal grants.

The budget also flags future privatisation in transport and the correctional services.

Yours faithfully
