Unions NSW Part-time Director, People & Culture

Unions NSW is increasing investment in the development of staff to improve its capacity to work with affiliates and advocate for working people.

That’s why Unions NSW is recruiting a Director - People & Culture on a part-time basis. The role reports directly to the Secretary with responsibility for:

  • Staff and Team development;
  • Evolving position descriptions;
  • Evaluation and planning;
  • Dispute Resolution;
  • Good Governance; and
  • Assist the Secretary in preparation and planning generally

Unions NSW are seeking candidates with experience in the following criteria:

  • Driving change and organisational improvement;
  • Assisting staff to improve through individualised and group training;
  • A pro - active and energetic approach;
  • A capacity for problem solving;
  • Qualifications or experience in human resources, in managing teams of people, in planning or mediation are welcome; and
  • A commitment to advocacy on behalf of working people is essential.
