Bargaining Officer - Private and Aged Care HSU NSW 20160720

The bargaining officer will conduct bargaining on behalf of members under the supervision of the relevant Divisional Manager in Aged Care and Private Health.

The bargaining officer will be a specialist in the area of Federal bargaining law and regulation.

The bargaining officer will have specialised negotiation skills.

The bargaining officer at a lower level will be expected to conduct negotiations and fulfil the administrative requirements of the bargaining process under supervision.

At higher levels the bargaining officer will:

Perform negotiation and bargaining administration without supervision.

Have high level skills in advocacy in order to prepare, present and argue bargaining disputes and be able to fully navigate the system in relation to the commencement of industrial action during bargaining.

Have the ability to provide briefings and provide instruction on complex matters to support legal counsel as required.

Have superior oral and written communication skills

Be able to assist more junior staff in developing their skills and competencies

Salary between 70,000 and 110,000 will be offered based on skills and experience with Monthly ADOs, 4 weeks annual leave and 10% super
