Insecure work is spreading into every sector of the workforce and every industry. It affects workers of all ages. It’s likely you, or someone you know, is in insecure work.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Secure Jobs. Better Future is the new Australian unions’ national campaign. We want to stop the spread of insecure work, and we need your help.
It's time the issue of insecure work was examined properly. That's why the ACTU has commissioned an Independent Inquiry into Insecure Work in Australia to be chaired by former Deputy Prime Minister Brian Howe. The inquiry will hold public hearings next year, and then release its findings in a report.
Unions NSW have developed an information sheet detailing how you can tell your story to the insecure work inquiry - take a look at it here.
You can join the campaign at www.securejobs.org.au
You can join the conversation about Secure Jobs. Better Future on Facebook, Twitter and the campaign blog.
Our campaign will stand up for the many workers who have put up with insecure work for too long. Everyone should have a job they can rely on.
Thanks for your support.
You can also fill out our survey about insecure work and ask your co-workers or friends to fill it out too.
