REPORTS:

1. We Won’t Wait DV Leave

Com. Kate Minter (UNSW) gave a report and said;

Unions NSW released a short video on domestic violence leave. It's powerful and emotional and uses the experiences of front-line dv workers to make the case for paid domestic violence leave.

Our “We Won't Wait Actions” have been amazing, and collectively we've spoken to thousands of workers in the longer term, this short film will also be a powerful resource to educate workers, bosses and politicians on the importance of paid
domestic violence leave and why it's a workplace issue.

22 Unions participated in 16 days of activism. There were 160 work place actions with 8,220 union members.

Congratulations to all unions who participated.”

The Acting Secretary, Com. T. Costa moved:

That the report be received and noted”.

Com. P. Noack (AWU) seconded.

3. We Won! #boycottCUB

Com. D. McKinley spoke on the report and said;

The 55 sacked Carlton and United Brewery maintenance workers have won all their demands and have returned to work on full pay and conditions.

This would not have been possible without the solidarity and strength shown by the workers and the amazing #boycottCUB movement.

A big shout out to everyone who stood strong and demonstrated what real power looks like: UNBREAKABLE SOLIDARITY.

CUB beer will now be proudly union-made at the Abbotsford brewery again. And just in time for Christmas. Cheers to that. #CUB55.”
