Grafton ChAFTA Debate

Do you care about the future of local jobs?

Then come along to the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club on the evening of Monday, October 26 at 6pm to hear Tony Maher (General President of the Mining & Energy Division of the CFMEU) go toe to toe with Kevin Hogan (Federal Member for Page) in a debate on the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

Australian Unions believe that the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, in its current form, will:

  • be BAD for local jobs
  • be BAD for workplace safety
  • be BAD for local communities
  • undercut local rates of pay
  • exploit overseas workers

The Turnbull Liberal Government, on the other hand, is determined to rush the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement through the Senate before the Christmas break.

Come along, hear both sides of the argument, and decide for yourself. Your future, as well as the futures of your children and grandchildren, depends on it.

Print out the Flyer and invite your neighbours and workmates to come along too.
