On June 19 it will be three years since the cuts to workers compensation in NSW Parliament by the Baird Liberal National Government.

These cuts saw dramatic cuts to:

- weekly payments

- medical expenses and support

- access to compensation

- limitations on the types of injuries you can claim

- reducing coverage to and from work

We are now at a point when after sustained pressure we are able to see the possibility of improvements to the workers compensation system with cross benchers and even the government discuss improvements.

Now Tony Abbott is attempting to introduce Comcare into all NSW workplaces whilst cutting that scheme in order to make it more attractive to employers in the state systems.

Unions NSW, affiliates and the Injured Workers Support Network are holding a BBQ protest at Parramatta to talk about the cuts, and talk about the campaign to restore justice for injured workers.
