NINE months since a Parliamentary inquiry into workplace bullying, a national code of practice is in danger of being scuttled by employer groups. From the very beginning, Australian unions have strongly supported the addition of a national Code of Practice on Workplace Bullying, but the recently released drafts show how successfully business groups have been in watering it down to ensure well-established risk factors are no longer included.

Bullying is costing the economy upwards of $6 billion a year in lost productivity. That is not counting the untold cost on human lives.

It’s time to end workplace bullying.

Sign the petition to Bill Shorten in support of a code of practice which helps protect workers from all forms of workplace bullying.
