RE:  Labor Council Meeting Thursday 20 July 2017 - 1917 Great Strike Centenary Event

Dear Colleague,

As part of the Labor Council meeting commencing at 5:30pm  on Thursday, 20 July 2017 Unions NSW will be hosting a performance commemorating the centenary of the 1917 Great Strike and the opening of the 1917 Great Strike Exhibition at Trades Hall.  Executive will still meet at 4:30pm.

The performance was written by Pat Cranney to commemorate the 1917 Great Strike and highlights the struggles of the men and women who did so much to shape the NSW and Australian Labour movement.

The performance will be from 5.30 - 6.30pm on Thursday, 20 July in the Auditorium, Ground Floor, Trades Hall, 4 Goulburn Street Sydney and will also be open to the general public.

After the performance, the travelling 1917 Great Strike Exhibition of photographs and memorabilia will be launched in the Trades Hall Atrium.

Light refreshments will be available in the Atrium after the performance.

Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter further please contact either Linda Carruthers or Neale Towart at Unions NSW.

Yours faithfully
