This paper uses data from a range of sources, including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relation, private surveys, media and web reports, to analyse the experience to date under WorkChoices.

. Matters considered include the level and distribution of real earnings changes; productivity and economic performance; employment growth; conditions of employment and the content of agreements; dismissal behaviour by employers; and the minimum wage decision by the Australian Fair Pay Commission.
