Launch of the Macquarie University Research into Workers Compensation

Unions NSW will be launching the third report by Macquarie University into the impact on injured workers after changes to NSW Workers’ Compensation. We will also be talking about the exciting next steps in our campaign to restore justice to injured workers through improving return to work.

Return to Work has become the focus of arguments for reducing workers benefits. Despite NSW having a strong record in returning injured workers to work, this argument has been used to place the burden unfairly on injured workers.

Although there is this focus on return to work, very little has been done to assist workers get back to work when work is not made available. Unions NSW will be launching their campaign to improve the prospects of injured workers ability to return to work.
