National Industrial Officer, Actors’ Equity 20170208

Equity has a proud 75 year history of representing Australian performers, including actors, dancers, voiceover artists and stunt performers. We are looking for a person with legal/industrial expertise to fill a 6-12 month maternity leave vacancy in our Sydney office.


Key duties include:

  • Providing advice to members on contracts, industry agreements and workplace issues
  • Providing support in negotiations for industry wide and production specific agreements
  • Assisting members with individual grievances
  • Providing research support on policy matters in the creative arts industry


Ideally, you will have legal qualifications and/or a background in industrial relations. You will work on a diverse range of projects as part of an energetic team as well as being able to independently manage workload and exercise initiative.


We offer generous terms and conditions. Remuneration is set by our staff agreement and depends on qualifications and experience.


A commitment to trade union principles and performers’ rights is essential.
