Position Vacant: Campaigns & Fundraising Coordinator – full time

We want an experienced person for the position of Campaigns & Fundraising Coordinator to work in our Sydney office.

This position will execute campaigning work that achieves the following: lifts the visibility of Union Aid Abroad, connects to national and international priorities of Australian unions, raises money for the international work of Union Aid Abroad and moves Australians to act in solidarity with workers internationally.

SELECTION CRITERIA

 

    • Demonstrated leadership, campaigning and organising skills
    • A minimum of 5 years experience either with the trade union movement or with other organisations with a commitment to community organising.
    • Experience with a wide array of communication strategies and tactics including traditional media, social and digital media.
    • Proven ability in database management for the purposes of organising and retaining a membership.
    • Demonstrated management experience, effectively supporting staff and delivering on strategy.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, organise and mobilise people and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and articulate way.
    • Highly developed organisational and time management skills enabling the capacity to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Good understanding of the structures of the Australian trade union movement and an ability to network with and motivate diverse union constituencies.
    • Proven commitment to trade union and international solidarity principles.
    • Demonstrated understanding of a not-for-profit environment with limited budget and resources.

Salary is $70,855 p.a with super at 15% employer contribution. Salary packaging is also available via PBI status of Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA. All employment conditions are negotiated with staff via an enterprise agreement including family friendly arrangements.
