About the Role

We are looking for two Industrial Officers to work in our NSW Branch in Granville NSW.

The Industrial Officer role includes the following work:

  • Advocacy before the Fair Work Commission, Industrial Relations Commission of NSW and Chief Industrial Courts
  • Providing advice and support to members around a range of industrial and legal matters including, disciplinary matters; dispute resolution; discrimination; harassment; bullying; redundancy; unfair dismissal; and adverse action
  • Drafting enterprise agreements and assisting with enterprise bargaining
  • Development of educational materials and delivery of training for members and Union Officials

Essential Requirements

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following essential attributes:

  • legal and/or industrial relations qualifications;
  • at least one years' experience as an industrial or legal officer in a union or similar organisation;
  • the ability to analyse, interpret and translate detailed - regulations, legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, common law contracts and other industrial instruments into ‘plain english’; and
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Remuneration

  • $91,100 p.a. plus superannuation and other generous conditions.
