Who you are

  • You are highly skilled in union Organising with at least 3 years’ experience as an Organiser, proficient in structured Organising Conversation agendas and other theories of Organising;
  • You are committed to the union’s values – fairness, compassion, equality, and dignity of workers;

What you’ll do - Key Job Requirements

  • Recruit new members;
  • Identify and develop workplace delegates;
  • Build active and sustainable organising structures;
  • Work with member leaders to mobilise members to take collective action;
  • Create and work to organising plans;
  • Map worksites;
  • Have a good understanding of the Enterprise Agreement making process;
  • Ability to interpret and enforce entitlements through collective action and delegate involvement
  • Support, mentor and develop less experienced organisers when required
  • Basic experience with digital campaigning and online organising
  • Promote a positive internal culture and shared unity of purpose
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment but work independently when required

  • A valid driver’s license; and
  • Right of Entry Permits.

Salary will be commensurate with experience
