Graduate Support Officer (Sydney-based)

Professionals Australia is a trade union for Engineers, Scientists, Managers, Architects, Pharmacists and other professions.

We are growing our membership and strength, through working with members in their universities while they study and, after graduation, in their workplaces, industries and professions.

We promote recognition of members for the important professional services they provide. 

This is a highly varied role with responsibilities for retaining young professionals as members and assisting in building the Association’s membership among university students.

 The successful applicant will need:

  • excellent communication and member relationship skills,
  • the ability to write interesting and informative web and other social media content,
  • sound organisational and time management skills,
  • strong attention to detail in all aspects of work,
  • good presentation skills,
  • enthusiasm for building union membership among young employees, and
  • a current driver’s licence (preferred but not essential).

Previous relevant experience is not required, but would be welcomed. 

This is a great opportunity for a confident and energetic person to commence a career making a difference in the lives of working people. Formal training and development will be provided.

Professionals Australia offers advancement to other roles in the Association, working with members to plan and implement campaigns that build the strength of the union and deliver good industrial outcomes for members.

We will consider applicants who are seeking full time employment or part time equivalent to four days a week. Commencing salary, 50 to 60k negotiable.
