WORK AREA –Organising and Development A union organiser’s main focus is to grow union membership, density and leadership. ROLE The United Voice Organiser in Training (OIT) Program is an 11 month training program. As an Organiser in Training, you will be trained on the fundamentals of union organising and assigned to union organising campaigns. Organiser in Training - Fixed Term (46 week program) As an Organiser in Training you will have: Experience in one of the following; unions, community service, social justice, student or other activist campaigns, volunteer work or relevant social sciences, industrial relations or related degree; Basic computer literacy and ability to learn the organisation’s technology tools; Ability to work independently as well as within a team; Strong planning, time-management and problem-solving skills; Driver’s license now or soon.
