Senior Digital Organiser - Victoria 2051

United Voice is a powerful and innovative member-led union driving change by growing union membership and density, building members’ leadership skills and participation in their union, raising and enforcing standards in our industries and campaigning in the community and politics. ROLE Over the last few years United Voice has built a reputation as a leader in digital organising, campaigning and storytelling. Our members have had spectacular wins against such companies as Grill’d Burgers and Myer and built enormous power and profile in the push for equal pay for early childhood educators. We are now pioneering innovative ways to organise young workers in the growing hospitality sector. This position will use new and existing digital tools to help workers organise, build power, fight exploitation and win respect and better jobs. The Senior Digital Organiser will set up digital infrastructure, build online communities, develop leaders and create cut through content that moves workers and supporters to action. They will build partnerships with good employers and other allies and find opportunities to name and shame bad employers. Responsibilities & Tasks • Digital Organising; • Content Creation & Online Management; • Online Campaign Fundraising / Income Generation; • Branding, Product Development and Testing; • Set Up Online Infrastructure; • Campaign Development & Coordination; • Data Analysis & Reporting. REMUNERATION AND CONTRACT PERIOD The salary range for this twelve month contract is $86-$101K commensurate with experience, plus 12% superannuation and six weeks annual leave. Flexible working arrangements / 4 day part-time are available for the right candidate.
