Engagement Campaigner 20170602

United Voice NSW are looking for an Engagement Campaigner – join our team!

Who we are

United Voice is a powerful member-led union of workers organising to win better jobs, stronger communities, a fairer society and a sustainable future.

Our members – who range from cleaners to homecare workers to early childhood educators – are at the forefront of the fight for a fairer society. From wage theft to penalty rates to equal pay, our members are standing together to create jobs you can count on.

 Who you are

  • You’re passionate about social justice and see collective action as the solution
  • You live and breathe the internet, and are excited about online to offline organising
  • You instinctively *get* visual content – and you have the technical skills to pull it off
  • You have a way with words, and can translate complex workplace announcements into galvanizing communication
  • You’re impact driven – you get an adrenaline rush from getting stuff done and seeing results
  • You’re patient, a team-player, and comfortable working across a range of campaigns at the same time

 What you’ll do

  • Produce creative visual online and offline content to mobilise members and supporters – Indesign, Photoshop, and video skills are a must
  • Write engaging communication for a broad range of audiences
  • Help to manage social media channels, websites, and our email program
  • Help to develop, implement and track supporter journeys
  • Work across a number of campaigns, identifying ways to build our relationship with our members and supporters

This is a 6 month full time role, with the possibility of extension at the end of the contract. The pay is in accordance with United Voice terms and conditions. As a union with a proudly diverse membership and a strong tradition of women in leadership, women and people from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. If even a few of the criteria above speak to you, you could be our perfect candidate – so apply now because we’re hiring fast!
