"From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Make Education Safe for All"

6:00pm - 7:45pm

Wednesday, 2 December 2015

Sydney Trades Hall auditorium - entry via 377 Sussex St Haymarket.

Australian women whose heritage is from war affected regions in the world will share their experiences. Issues to be covered include the relationship between militarism and the right to education, militarism as a system of discrimination and inequality based on our relation to power.

Join us in solidarity to call for an end to gender-based violence and appeal to governments to respond, protect, and prevent violence against women.

From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Make Education Safe for All is dedicated to:
• Raising awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue
• Strengthening local work around violence against women
• Providing a forum to develop and share strategies
• Demonstrating the solidarity of activists around the world
• Calling governments to account, respond, protect, and prevent violence against women

We hope you can make it!

Unions NSW is supporting Tamil Women Development Group & Australian Tamil Congress in organising this event.
