The fight's not over - Sydney injured workers rally

It was Mahatma Gandhi that said “the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members”.

On this measure, because of its treatment of injured workers, Mike Baird and the NSW Government are bankrupt.

Join us as we rally in front of Parliament House to mark the beginning of the Law and Justice Committee review of the 2012 workers compensation changes.

Unions NSW has made an extensive submission to the Law and Justice Committee. Our submission paints a horrifying picture of the scale of the devastation wreaked by the changes to workers compensation: from suicides to soup kitchens and everything in between.

In our submission, Unions NSW has argued for the scrapping of the entire workers compensation system, with it to be replaced by a new system based on the Unions NSW 12 principles for workers compensation reform. We propose in the alternative 17 fixes that could improve the scheme in the short term.

Join us as we rally to highlight the plight and improve the lot of injured workers in NSW.
