2 x Organisers (Local Government) Metropolitan – USU

The Union is seeking to employ multiple Organisers for its Metropolitan Branch. The position is based in the Union’s Head Office at Level 7, 321 Pitt Street, Sydney.

The position requires the ability to attend to the needs of the membership in all industry sectors covered by the Union but will primarily be dealing with Local Government.

You will be required to:

• develop and implement organising plans, this includes developing, educating and supporting workplace delegates and activists, increasing levels of membership and activism, including the direct recruitment of new members and assisting the effective operation and projects of delegates’ committees, identify organising opportunities in the workplace and assist members and delegates in the handling of such issue
• assist members and delegates in the development and negotiation of enterprise/ workplace agreements.

A vehicle is supplied as a tool of trade.

Salary range is from grade 3 level 1 $85,663.06 pa (plus superannuation) to grade 3 level 5 $97,815.17 pa (plus superannuation).
