The Collieries' Staff and Officials Association is a Division of Professionals Australia (formerly APESMA) and represents Staff employed in the coal mining industry. We aim to make a positive difference to our members’ working lives. We work in a targeted, planned way to deliver results for our members.
The Association is looking for an Organiser/Industrial Officer to join our Team.
An Attractive salary package of $75,000 to $90,000 p.a. plus 9.5% superannuation, a fully maintained vehicle and a RDO each month (package negotiable depending on experience & relevance of existing skills). Travel will be required throughout the Coalfields, including Queensland.
This is a great opportunity to deepen your existing organising skills with industrial, bargaining and campaigning experience by working with members and workplace leaders in organising campaigns that build the strength of the union and deliver good collective outcomes to members.
The tasks include implementing organising plans, providing advice to members, developing workplace reps, building sustainable organising structures and recruiting new members.
